What is Photo EXIF Metadata?

EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is a standard specification for image file formats created by digital cameras, smartphones, and mobile devices. Whenever you capture a photograph, the camera embeds hidden technical metadata directly into the image file header.

This hidden metadata includes vital capture parameters such as camera manufacturer and model, shutter speed, lens aperture, ISO sensitivity, exposure bias, creation timestamp, and geographical GPS coordinates.
